Quiz Night for Mission—May 2010

A Festive Success!

About 85 lively participants, over 30 dedicated volunteers, a delicious home-cooked meal, beautiful spring bouquets, award-winning wine, lots of questions ranging from Bible quotes to literature to classical music and geography, an energetic youth group, and an enthusiastic and charming Master of Ceremonies. This was a successful recipe for our first GPC Quiz Night for Mission! Thanks to the efforts of many, we raised over $4,000 for our two mission trips this summer to Uganda and Ohio.

Congratulations to the Marshall–Alexander–Parker team (aka "Smarty Pants") for this fantastic victory. Liza Marshall, a former Jeopardy winner, said "It was such a fun and warm and entertaining evening…and we didn’t love it just because we won…Kirk was the PERFECT MC!"
