Mission Programs, Worship Participation and Special Events

GPC Children also participate in a host of special projects and events throughout the year.

In the fall the church school children and their families participate in a mini walk through Georgetown in support of the Georgetown Ministries Center. View Pictures from the 2009 MiniWalk

  •  Make valentines for the residents of Ingleside and the Aged Women's Home in Georgetown.

 •  Decorate pumpkins and sell them to members of the congregation, with the proceeds going to mission.

GPC’s Children’s Ministries Programs include a rich variety of classes and activities designed to provide education, worship, mission, fellowship, and evangelism for the youngest part of our congregation.

Sunday school and Children’s Church on Sunday mornings, as well as youth group meetings on Sunday evenings, are the cornerstone of our program.

September - May Schedule
Supervised childcare is provided on Sunday mornings from 9:30 through the end of the worship service. The 2, 3, and 4 year olds participate in singing, playing, crafts, and learning Bible stories.
   Nursery (Infants-Age 4) - 3rd Floor
   PreK – Kindergarten - 3rd Floor
   1st – 3rd Grade - 3rd Floor
   4th – 6th Grade - 3rd Floor
   7th - 12th Grade - Youth Room, Lower Level

Children's Library:
To complement Sunday School curriculum, our children's librarian regularly takes books to the classrooms. The children's collection is located on the upper level. Church staff often provide additional resources for teachers and parents.
