Matching-grant challenge announced during worship today

Elder Susan Page announced today in our worship service that we have six weeks left in the stewardship campaign, which ends March 1st. Congregants are invited to pledge now to unlock a $20,000 matching grant provided by several generous anonymous donors. This dollar-for-dollar match for new pledgers or those who didn’t pledge in 2014 will help us reach our goal for 2015. Other targeted stewardship challenges include:

  • The parents of Sunday School kids: Once they reach their pledging goal, Rev. Rachel Vaagenes will host a kids’ pizza party; if they reach a higher goal, she’ll attend the party in a Frozen costume and sing "Let it Go!"
  • Those active in Mission-related activities: Once they reach a pledging goal, Rev. Chris Chatelaine-Samsen will bring an array of desserts to their next meeting; if they reach 100%, he’ll take a pie in the face!
